Dear Primary Blogging Community Friends,
Hello and welcome! We are so excited to communicate with you this year.
Just so you know a little bit about us, here are some fun facts we wanted to share with you:
*There are 24 children in our 1st grade class.
*Our school goes all the way up to 5th grade.
*We live in Seattle.
*This means that it rains a LOT here.
*It also means that we can visit cool places like the Space Needle and the giant ferris wheel.
*In our classroom, we have a calm body spot that is a tent in the shape of an igloo. We have iPads. And sometimes, we get to have Free Choice Time.
Now we want to know more about you! We have lots of questions we are wondering about...
Jocelyn: How much in the year does it usually snow?
Elise: Do you like jokes? Do you have an Inventor's Workshop?
Niko: Is it night-time when it's daytime here? Do you have writer's workshop or reader's workshop?
Shelton: Do you like to read books? Do you have book boxes?
George: Do you have a school library? Do you use a number line for math? Do you have class jobs?
Griffin: Do you have lots of books in your classroom?
Mia: How many recesses do you have every day?
Miles: Do you use Kelso's Wheel of Choice to solve problems?
Sadie: Do you learn other languages at your school (besides English)?
Emmy: Do you ever have Free Choice Time? Do you have computers?
Siena: What kind of writing do you do?
Mekai: Do you ever use a globe to learn things? Do you have Picture Day?
Henry R: What are your school rules?
Eli: Do you have a playground? How big is it? What does it look like? How many classrooms do you have?
Durban: How big is your school building? What do you study the most?
Simon: Do you have portables for extra classrooms in your school? Do you have a digital clock in your classroom?
Logan: Do you use homework folders that go home every day?
Briar: Do you have a Jog-a-Thon? (Where you run together with your whole school.)
Tayven: Do you have a lunchroom?
Tilly: How many teachers do you have?
Henry C: Do you get to use iPads in your classroom?
